I like to think my family is pretty lucky. They have a mom who loves to cook and they get home cooked meals made with love almost every night. I guess I’m pretty lucky too. I’m able to prepare healthy meals for them because I get to work full time right from my house while also taking care of four kids and cooking them meals and doing housework.
Wait…that doesn’t sound very fun at all.
Just kidding. I wouldn’t change a thing. I love taking care of my family, and the Italian in me has a need to make sure they’re always fed well. Even when I happen to leave them for a few days so I can go to a conference or just take a short vacation for my own personal sanity.
I used to go all out when I left for a trip. One time in particular, I made a variety of meals for my husband to pop in the oven each night so he and the two kids we had at the time would have nice home-cooked dinners. When I got back from my trip, all of the meals were still in the freezer. If you’ve ever lovingly made a big lasagna for your family, you would know why I was a little upset to see it had gone uneaten.
These days I barely have time to grab takeout, let alone prepare several home-cooked meals for a husband and four kids who all have different ideas of what dinner should be. I can save myself, and everyone else, some stress by grabbing a nice variety of Blake’s All Natural Frozen Dinners. They’re inspired by family, and perfect for mine.
Blake’s All Natural Frozen Dinner are available at most Walmart stores, and if you use the Ibotta app, you can get a $1.00 cash rebate back when you purchase two of any variety of 8oz pie or meal. I am not much of a couponer, but I love using the Ibotta to earn a little money back from grocery shopping. There are rebates for lots of great brands that I already buy, plus generic items like eggs, milk, and even vegetables. I cash my rebates out and spend them on myself!
Blake’s All Natural Frozen Dinners are made with both natural and organic ingredients, much like the meals I make for my family, and unlike the meals my husband picks up when I’m not around. Their Chicken Pot Pie is made with white meat chicken, raised without antibiotics.
They put a lot of thought and care in what ingredients go into their products. Their pies are made from scratch in small batches by people (not machines!) and they feature garden vegetables, potatoes, a signature gravy, and a flaky pie crust.
With a freezer stocked full of Blake’s All Natural Frozen Dinners, everyone can pick what they want and I’m comforted knowing that my family is being fed well while I’m not there to cook for them.
While their Chicken Pot Pie is the favorite, they have a great variety of options, so that even my pickiest eater has something he loves. And yes, they even have lasagna, and I don’t have to worry about that one going uneaten!
What does your family eat when you’re away?
